A practical workflow
- User uploads an audio file which is decoded and downmixed to mono in the browser.
- The open-source Basic Pitch model detects notes (pitch, onset, duration, velocity) in a Web Worker on the client device.
- Detected notes are processed to estimate tempo, key, meter, split between hands, and quantised before engraving.
- The score is engraved using Verovio, producing a printable PDF, MIDI, and MusicXML files.
