LAUNCH RULES

How launches work

Who can launch

The verified owner of a listing: signed in with an email at the product's domain, or proven with a DNS record, a meta tag or a file. That check replaces a review queue, so a launch is live on its day without waiting on us. A product needs a description of at least 80 characters. Pricing is not required, but a launch without it shows “Price not published” to every voter.

A product launches at most once every 180 days.

When

Boards run Monday 00:00 UTC to Sunday 23:59 UTC. Free launches take the first Monday with one of 20 free slots open. Plus and Pro pick any day in the next 90 days, today included, with up to 10 paid launches in a week.

How votes count

One vote per signed-in account. A vote counts toward a launch when it is cast between launch day and the end of that week, by anyone other than the maker, from an account that was at least a day old when it voted. The board shows raw totals beside counted ones wherever they differ, so the rule can be checked rather than trusted.

When a week closes its results are written down: withdrawing a vote later does not move a finished board. Ties go to more raw votes, then to the earlier launch day.

What payment does

It chooses the day and, for Pro, a labelled featured strip. It does not change the order of any board, the grade, or what we publish about the product. Paid launch links carry rel="sponsored".

Manipulation

Buying votes, vote rings and automated accounts get a launch removed from its board. Report anything suspicious to the email in the footer of every launch email.
